TIFR Project Posts Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Project Laboratory Assistant (B): National Trade Certificate (NTC) with 60% aggregate marks awarded by NCVT in Air Conditioning OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with 60% aggregate marks awarded by NCVT in Air Conditioning Trade. Desirable: 1 year of experience in the Air Conditioning trade.
• Project Scientific Officer (B): Full-Time M.Sc./M.S. with 60% aggregate marks in Physics / Mathematics / Computer Science or related theoretical/mathematical sciences OR Full-Time B.E./B.Tech. with 60% aggregate marks in the relevant discipline + Professional experience related to Science Communication using online multimedia or web design tools.
  
  Desirable: Full-time ME/MTech with 60% marks; Experience with web designing, creating videos and multimedia using AI-based tools; Familiarity with word-processing, photo-editing, video-editing and content management software; Experience in science communication/outreach in a research institute; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Background and interest in theoretical sciences; Organisational skills and ability to work in a group.
• Project Clerk (A): Graduate from a recognized University/Institute with 50% aggregate marks + Knowledge of typing + Knowledge of using personal computers and applications (supported by certificates from Government-recognized institutions) + Minimum 1 year of experience in clerical duties and correspondence in a large and reputed organization.
  
  Desirable (for one of the posts): Graduation with Basic Knowledge of Store Keeping Procedures; Experience as Clerk in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs preferred; Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and database management (supported by certificate).
• Project Work Assistant: S.S.C. or Equivalent (Central/State Board Examinations) + Minimum 1 year of experience.
  
  Desirable: Experience as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) or similar work in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs preferred; Prior knowledge of event management-related work / on-site logistics arrangements.
