GIC Re Actuarial Apprentices Recruitment 2025: General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), Mumbai invites applications for 20 Actuarial Apprentice positions (12 – Non-Life; 8 – Life). Candidates must have passed at least two actuarial subjects from the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA, UK) and satisfy the educational & age criteria listed below. 21 years (completed) and not more than 27 years (born between 01-11-1998 and 01-11-2004). Relaxation: OBC +3 yrs; SC/ST +5 yrs; PWD as per rules.
Educational Qualification
Graduation / Post-Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks (10% relaxation for SC/ST).
Actuarial Exam Requirement
Must have passed at least 2 actuarial subjects of exams conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA, UK).

Reservations as per Government guidelines. Vacancies may increase/decrease at final selection.

Two-year apprenticeship tenure. Apprentice expected to pass a total of 6 actuarial subjects by the end of 2 years.
Extension of 1 year (2 years for SC/ST) may be granted if 6 subjects are passed within 2 years to complete 7 subjects.
Apprentices failing to pass 6 subjects within two years may have apprenticeship terminated.

Absorption & Career Progression
Apprentices who pass minimum 7 actuarial subjects and satisfy absorption conditions may be absorbed as Assistant Manager (Scale I Officer). On absorption, the basic pay will be fixed at Rs.50,925/- in the scale Rs.50,925/- – 2500(14) – 85,925/- – 2710(4) – 96,765/- plus other allowances and benefits (approx. total emoluments ~ Rs.85,000/- p.m. on absorption).
