Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

General Duty (GD) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 scheme or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. Candidates with a diploma are eligible if they have 55% marks in diploma with Physics and Mathematics in its curriculum.
Technical (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics from a recognized university, or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Institutes of Engineers (India) as exempt from section “A” and “B” of their Associate Membership Examination (AMIE). Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 scheme or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025 – Selection Process

  • Stage-I (CGCAT): Computer-Based Screening Test (100 MCQs, 400 marks, 2 hours, +4 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer) covering mental ability, cognitive aptitude, and picture perception.
  • Stage-II (PSB): Preliminary Selection Board with Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT), qualifying in nature.
  • Stage-III (FSB): Final Selection Board over five days, including Psychological Test, Group Task, and Interview (Personality Test).
  • Stage-IV (Medical Examination): Conducted for candidates who clear FSB, ensuring medical fitness as per ICG standards.
  • Stage-V (Induction): Final merit list based on performance across stages, followed by training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, starting January 2027.
