Age Limit for IBPS (As on 21.09.2026)
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): 18 to 28 years
- Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years – Below 30 years
- Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years – Below 32 years
- Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years – Below 40 years
Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
- UR/EWS: +10 years
- OBC: +13 years
- SC/ST: +15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines
Method of Selection for IBPS
- Preliminary Examination (Online)
- Main Examination (Online)
- Interview (only for Officers Scale-I, II & III)
For Office Assistants, final selection will be based on Main Examination scores (subject to language proficiency). For Officers, scores of Main Examination + Interview will be considered.
