Position Overview
You will collaborate with threat researchers and security engineers to analyze network-based attacks, develop detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems, perform packet-level analysis, and contribute to internal threat intelligence processes. This role offers hands-on exposure to real cybersecurity challenges in a global communications service provider ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze network-based attacks and generate detection logic
- Perform packet-level analysis using PCAPs, Wireshark, and Zeek
- Assist in developing and testing detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems
- Develop internal tools and automation using Python
- Conduct OSINT gathering for emerging threats, IoCs, and TTPs
- Create technical documentation, threat reports, and playbooks
- Build simulated attack scenarios to validate detection capabilities
Qualifications
- Graduated or in final year of Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (2024/2025) in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or Cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of Computer Networking, TCP/IP, OSI Model, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence, MITRE ATT&CK, and malware delivery methods
- Programming knowledge in **Python** (ability to write automation scripts/utilities)
- Comfortable working with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Suricata, Snort, tcpdump is a plus
- Strong communication, research aptitude, and attention to detail
